Transitional Summer Camp
8:45am-11:45am OR 8:45am-1:00pm
Is your child going to be entering their first year of the Primary Program this fall? The Ronald Knox Transitional Summer Camp is the perfect opportunity to help your child successfully transition into the 3-6 year old program. Whether your child completed the Toddler Program or is stepping into a Montessori classroom for the first time, Transitional Summer Camp will create a seamless journey for your child.
Children will join Ms. Victoria to become familiar with the larger Primary classroom, learn the ground rules and expectations, and enjoy a gradual transition to a new environment. Students will also participate in fun, daily themes:
Mondays – Sprinkler Sprayground
Tuesdays – Food Fare
Wednesdays – Making Messes
Thursdays – Gymnastics Games
Fridays – Tricycle Town
Each day, children will have ample time to play outside, get to know their incoming “cohort,” and practice new skills like kneading dough, walking on a balance beam, or following road signs on their tricycle or balance bike.
Children should arrive wearing a swimsuit and sunscreen on Mondays, and on Fridays they should bring their tricycle or balance bike. Students who stay until 1:00pm will eat lunch (food not included) with friends and teachers. Please note, new RKMS students must be registered for a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks of camp, and returning RKMS students must be registered for a minimum of any 4 weeks.
To reserve your space, please register by Saturday, April 1.
